Brian Claxton

Hi I’m Brian, an Award-winning drummer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for my electrifying groove and rhythmic mastery.  

I am an old soul and passionate student of the history of American music. You’ll see I’ve navigated a career with one foot in the past and one foot in the future, and have a musical voice that is as diverse as my performance experience.

My first record as a leader When I Get Home has appeared internationally in film, television, and is a frequent choice of popular content creators online.

My second record Here Goes Nothing showcases me on the bass instead of the drums with 11 brand new compositions.

I have also been releasing new music for the past several years with my side project Listen At Night. It’s a fun vehicle for me to write and record music outside of the scope of my day to day, and collaborate with others who I might not otherwise get to. If that wasn’t enough I scored my first short film and LOVED IT and want to do more.
